The food is influenced by both Bedouin culture and international flavors, so you\u2019ll discover a variety of dishes to choose from, most containing meat, vegetables, herbs, and rice or bread. The national dish, mansaf \u2014 made of lamb, yoghurt, and rice \u2014 is a must. You\u2019ll find falafel and hummus aplenty, and olive oil used in many dishes. Mediterranean and Middle Eastern herbs are also commonly used. Be sure to sample some of the herb blend za\u2019atar sprinkled on labneh cheese, bread, yoghurt, or used as a rub on meat.
